Fischleintal Valley

Cross country skiing Sexten, Dolomites

I’ve just found my new favorite trail ….. Fischleintal valley, located in the heart of the Sexten Dolomites.

Cross-country skiing in the Fischleintal Valley means cross-country skiing in one of the most beautiful alpine valleys.
I first explored the Fischleintal Valley in the fall, hiking along the same route I now ski. I love being able to enjoy different winter sports in the same area. For me, being outdoors like this is the perfect combination of exercise and enjoying nature’s beauty.

I startede my run from Moos and completed a 12 km round trip, 6 km out into the valley and 6 km back.
On the way out, there’s a gentle uphill stretch, followed by a smooth return with a slight downhill that allows you to glide back at a relaxed, comfortable speed.
The views of the surrounding peaks of the Dolomites are truly impressive. All along the route, these dramatic, jagged rock faces rise high above the white landscape, glowing softly in the winter light and creating a breathtaking alpine panorama at every turn.

Halfway into the valley, there are spots to rest and enjoy the scenery. The route is suitable for beginners and intermediate skiers, making it a good option for a day trip.

Talschusshutte is located in the end of the valley. Great place for a break and to grab a snack or hot chocolate.

Cathrine Yde

Hi, I’m Cathrine Korsgaard Yde.

I’m a professional sports and action photographer who loves movement and capturing dynamic moments. I also value quiet time to recharge and let my mind wander in nature.

I often explore nature from our van during the off-season, away from the crowds and noise. That balance between action and stillness is where I find my inspiration.
